Paragliding Queensland Tandem Flights are a great way to experience the thrill and excitement of the sport without the need to undertake a full lesson course.

Our flights allow you to absorb the sensation of totally controlled flight under the guidance of your HGFA certified tandem instructor. We are the most experienced and qualified tandem operation in Queensland. We have been operating since 1993 with a 100% safety record.
Phil Hystek & our Tandem Paragliding operation have been featured on "The Great South/East", "The Mole", "Getaway", "Ch 7 and 9's News", "Totally Wild", ABC radio's midday programe.

Paragliding Queensland Tandem flights last approximately 25 minutes however this time is controlled very much by the weather conditions on the day.

Our launch site is also dictated by the prevailing weather conditions and passengers will be required to contact their Tandem Paragliding pilot on the morning of the flight for final weather confirmation and launch site location.

Our aim is to land back at the launching site however weather conditions can affect this as well and we may land further at the bottom of the mountain. This may result in a total trip time in excess of 1.5hrs.

Passengers are free to take still or video cameras with them on their flights to record the moment, however Paragliding Queensland can supply a High Definition video of your flight taken from our special onboard camera. We supply a USB stick with up to 2GB of video footage for the cost of $45. Please notify our office if you wish to take advantage of this service.

Flights usually take place between 11am and 4pm with all launch sites situated within 20 minutes drive of Canungra.
Canungra itself is 1hr south of Brisbane CBD and 40 minutes west of the Gold Coast.
Maximum passenger weight for tandem paragliding flights is 95kg while minimum passenger age is 14 years.

Passengers will need to be need to be reasonably "physically able" however special arrangements can be made for passengers with a disability. Please contact our office for further information on flights for disabled persons.

Paragliding Queensland Tandem Flights are available most week days and weekends however bookings are essential.

Group Discounts: are available and is participant number dependant. Please call for details.

There is no extra cost for Gift Certificates issued with any paid booking.

Please be note: The sport of paragliding is very weather dependant. Our number one priority is passenger safety and therefore flights will be postponed and rescheduled if weather conditions are not suitable. The motion of a Paraglider in the air has been known to affect persons susseptable to motion sickness. If you do suffer from motion sickness, it is advisable to take medication prior to your flight.
No alcohol/ drugs for eight hours prior to the flight. Due to the foot launching and landing techniques employed in paragliding, the passenger plays a major role in assisting the pilot to execute a successful flight. For this reason, it is important that the passenger is not affected by alcohol or other drugs.
The pilot retains the right to refuse carriage of any passenger deemed affected by alcohol or other drugs.

• All Gift certificate flights need to be booked within 6 months of date of purchase.
• Maximum passenger weight is 95kg.
• Minimum passenger age is 14 years
• All passengers will be required to sign a legal indemnity prior to their flight.

1. REFUNDS
   No refund available for “no shows” or cancellations on the day of the flight.
   50% refund is available for cancellations between 1-3 days prior to the booked flight day.
   75% refund is available for cancellations between 3 days and one week prior to the booked flight day.
   All refund requests must be made in writing to: “Paragliding Queensland” and must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice/receipt.
   No refunds will be paid by cheque or cash.
   Credit card or direct “online” transfer only.
   Credit card refunds will be subject to 12% book keeping fee.
   EFT Online refunds will be subject to 15% book keeping fee.
   
2. RESCHEDULING
   No passenger requested rescheduling permitted on the flight day. (Exceptional circumstances considered).
   Late rescheduling (1-3 days) prior to the flight day accepted only if space available on the day requested.
   Passengers must be prepared to, and accept, at least three weather related flight reschedules.
   Postponements are usually on the grounds of safety.
   However there are times when the weather conditions are not good enough for our desired minimum flight time.
   FLIGHT TRANSFERABILTY
   All vouchers are fully transferable but the weight and age limit applies to all transferees. New passengers name, weight and date of birth must be supplied to Paragliding Queensland
   no later than 3 days prior to the flight.
   FLIGHT VALIDITY
   The “valid to” date shown on gift certificates is a “first contact” validity date.
   The validity date can be extended by up to 12 months, if weather conditions prohibit flight on the day of your booking.
   
3. FLIGHT DURATION
   Our flights are scheduled for approximately 25 minutes,
   however weather conditions sometimes reduce this time. No credits are available for short flights.
